Know When to Fold Em or Quit

Life tends to give us hard choices. For the last few weeks I have been contemplating what to do.

I run several at home business's. Jam Anarchy, my homemade jam company, Kay's Crochet Patterns, and my self published e-books.

I find myself just stretched too thin and something has to give.

I have come to the conclusion it will be my jam company. Mainly because the price of glass jars keeps going up this year a long with the price of sugar. My profit per jar is dwindling fast. You can only price a jar of jam so high and then no one wants to buy it. I refuse to go back to jars made in China so I have came to the conclusion to close up Jam Anarchy.

I am a bit sad as it has been so fun selling the jam. I love the comments and emails from customers that love our jam.

On the flip side I am excited as I won't be so exhausted and I can concentrate more on my crochet patterns and blankets. Lucky for me the crochet patterns have really taken off and I have so much fun designing the patterns and making the blankets.

Things evolve and change and you have to be able to change with them. I think this is going to be a good change for all involved.

You have to know when to fold em! Excuse the pun I am finally going to get to go on my first vacation in 5 years and I am going to Vegas! I am in a gambling state of mind.

Vintage Knitting Pattern Little Girls Chevron Dress

I came across some vintage knitting and crochet patterns from the 70's and restored them digitally.

My favorite is this knitting pattern for a little girls Chevron dress. I so wish this was a crochet pattern! I think its so funny how everything old becomes new again.

I also restored this vintage crochet pattern for a crop or bolero top. Love love this!

Both of these can be purchased off my Etsy store for $3.00 each

My Newest Quick and Easy Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern

I just got my newest crochet pattern up called the Baby Mason Quick and Easy Crochet Pattern. You can purchase it off my website www.kayscrochetpatterns.com or my Etsy Store. Cost is $3.00 and pattern will be emailed to you in PDF form. This one is so quick and easy to crochet. No stress! Comes out super soft and cuddly. Uses Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn. This pattern is great for a baby girl or baby boy by just changing the color of the yarn.

I love this Bernat Baby Blanket yarn and I am almost finished with yet another pattern using this yarn. Heres a sneak peek of the next one. This one has a lot of texture.
